Spotlight ~ Multiple Exposure ~ “Freeze” series

Picasa logoPicasa, a free download from Google, gives the web page designer an awesome tool to combine digital images to tell a story using six collage types. Each type conveys a different meaning, tells a slightly different story, makes emotional connections.

~ Multiple Exposure ~

The multiple exposure type of collage is usually used to create an image, or print media, of a person, place, or product.  A multiple exposure collage is a powerful means of overlapping two images to convey one message.  The two images are selected carefully so the washout placement is viewable against the stronger image.

The overlap creates an extremely professional-looking piece of media – media with a dynamic “wow” factor!    This type of collage tells a story, usually very focused or targeted.  The story could simply highlight a favorite vacation spot, a wedding party, a dance recital, or a baby’s birth.

Other uses of Multiple Exposure could include music album covers, pet posters, travel destinations, natural park post cards, and portfolio covers.

Spotlight ~ Picasa Picture Pile ~ “Freeze” series

Picasa logoPicasa, a free download from Google, gives the web page designer an awesome tool to combine digital images to tell a story using six collage types. Each type conveys a different meaning, tells a slightly different story, makes emotional connections.

~ Picture Pile ~

Scattered randomly across the canvas, a pile of pictures is usually used to highlight an event.

The event could be a vacation, a wedding, a birthday, a graduation, a recital, a horse show, a family reunion, or a first day at school. A story unfolds about the event in the seemingly random pile of pictures. A story unfolds that celebrates the occasion. A story that is archived. A story that’s revisited with children and grandchildren.

A picture pile collage is a powerful means of archiving moments in time and creating a unique family history. Collages of events that are compiled into photo albums capture the essence of life’s celebrated events.

Other uses of Picture Pile could include music artist compilations, favorite pets or animals, nature scenery and landscapes, and sports portfolios.
